    Mrs. Peterson, originally from the Kansas City, MO area, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Social Science and her Master of Science degree in School Counseling from Missouri State University. She taught high school social studies in Iowa and Arizona before transitioning to school counseling in 1998. After relocating to Stockton in 2000, Mrs. Peterson spent 23 years as an Elementary School Counselor. She is now excited to return to high school counseling at Stagg!

    Mrs. Segura (formerly Ms. Esparza) graduated from San Joaquin Delta College in 2010 and went on to earn her degrees from Fresno State in 2012 and 2015. She began her counseling career with the Department of Residential Life, Housing, and Dining Services at Missouri State University. A proud 2008 graduate of Stagg High School, she describes herself as motivated, independent, and empathetic. Her favorite quote is, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." – Gandhi.

    Mr. Alvarez graduated from San Joaquin Delta College before transferring to Sacramento State, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a focus on Public Relations. He also holds dual Master’s degrees in Educational Counseling and Technology, along with a PPS credential from National University. Before assuming his current role, Mr. Alvarez served as our High School Counselor for Child Welfare & Attendance. He brings extensive experience in expanded learning, college counseling, and youth development program management.

    Mr. Moua holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Ethnic Studies from CSU Hayward (East Bay). He also earned his Pupil Personnel Services Credential and a Master of Arts in Education, specializing in Counseling and Student Personnel, from San Jose State University. Passionate about supporting students, Mr. Moua is dedicated to helping them stay engaged, well-prepared, and confident as they embark on their chosen paths after graduation.

    Mrs. Klopstock obtained an Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences from San Joaquin Delta College, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Sciences and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from National University. Outside of her career, she loves spending time with her children and 17 grandchildren, traveling with her husband, visiting Disneyland, and relaxing in her backyard, where she enjoys the tranquil atmosphere of their koi pond.

    Ms. Hanson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science, Political Science, and Communication from CSU Stanislaus, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She also holds a Master's in Education Counseling from Brandman University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Since 2018, she has been serving as a School Counselor with SUSD. Her favorite quote is, "Work hard and be kind to people. It’s that simple."

    Mr. Guillot is an alumnus of Dominican University and Alliant International University. He has served as a school counselor at Stagg High School for six years.
